Day 1 Split - Veli Drvenik
Our cruise along the stunning Adriatic coast begins at 3 p.m. by
boarding the vessel, meeting the crew and inspecting the yacht that
shall become our home for the next couple of days. We will sail off
at daylight so that we can enjoy the first sunset above the
Adriatic from our yacht. After dusk, we will drop the anchor at the
pier in the small town Drvenik on the island Veli Drvenik where we
will spend the first night on board. We will have dinner at a
traditional Dalmatian konoba, try the local dessert wine Prosek and
the liqueur Pelinkovac. We will be met with a great welcome -
Croatian hospitality is warm and genuine and makes you extend our
visit beyond closing time.
Day 2 Veli Drvenik - Hvar
On the second day of our cruise, we will be heading south,
towards the island Hvar. We will make a stop at one of the
breathtaking bays of Solta island for swimming, snorkelling with
underwater scooters and sunbathing. After a delicious lunch, we
continue our sailing towards our goal, the town Hvar on the island
Hvar. It is one of the prettiest and most visited towns in the
whole Adriatic. The beauty of its historic buildings, its narrow
streets and gorgeous atmosphere are renowned in the sailing
community and among tourists. Upon anchoring, we will take a stroll
in the town, explore the fortress overlooking the harbour, enjoy
the splendid view from the top of Hvar and sample the rich creamy
Croatian ice cream. After a short relax on board and a fine dinner,
we can return to the romantic city centre with its with numerous
cafes and cocktail bars where the entertainment can be as low key
or as lively as you like.
Day 3 Hvar - Korcula
Departing from beautiful Hvar, we sail southwest towards the
island Korcula. The route provides opportunities for swimming,
snorkelling and relaxation. The charming medieval town of Korcula
attracts tourists and sailors from all over the globe. Allegedly
the birthplace of the famous merchant and traveller Marco Polo,
Korcula seems to be a place where time stands still. The old city,
beautiful as ever, will charm every visitor. An evening walk will
mark the end of this day. The night will be spent in a marina in
the old city.
Day 4 Korcula - Lastovo
Setting off from Korcula, we will snake our way towards the
Lastovo island, avoiding islets and shallows off the southeast
shore. This remote and calm island, offering great possibilities
for anchoring, seems to be from a different world. After lots of
swimming and relaxation, we will spend the night at a romantic cove
near the town of Ulbi.
Day 5 Lastovo - Vis
Sailing is what this day will be all about. We will sail to the
island Vis. Setting off from Lastovo in the morning, we will
have our breakfast on board. Despite an ambitious plan for
this day, there will be sufficient time for swimming and fishing as
well. Who will catch tonight´s dinner? We will arrive at Vis in the
afternoon, enjoy the view of this majestic island and bathe as
well. The evening as well as the night will be spent in the
fishing village Komiza.
Day 6 Vis - Hvar
On this day, we shall explore the surrounding nature. After
breakfast we will sail to the magnificent Plava Spilja (Blue cave)
and see the hidden and less known Medvedja spilja as well. We can
take a walk on the interesting Bisevo island and enjoy the stunning
view from its top. Afterwards we will head back towards the Vis
island with its amazing Stiniva cove and Green cave. We will
observe the sunset from the pier of Vis and after dark, we will try
our first night sailing towards the island Sv. Klement. There is
nothing like ghosting and gliding on the water with a full moon and
stars above. Our next port of call will be Palmizana near the town
Hvar.
Day 7 Hvar - Split
On our final trip we will sail from Sv. Klement to the island
Solta and Brac where we will make a stop for swimming, snorkelling,
sunbathing and relaxation. Sailing through the passage Splitska
vrata, we will be heading directly for the town of Split and see
its promenade from our yacht. In late afternoon, we will return to
our home marina, take a rest and then spend the last evening in
Split, enjoying the exciting atmosphere of its ancient centre.
Day 8 Split
The last day of our sailing trip: packing and disembarkation.
Departure in late morning. Everybody takes home stunning experience
and memories from a unique sailing in South Dalmatia.
